Without reference to eggs and baskets, all of us are guilty of trusting probably the least reliable part of any computer – the working parts of the hard drive, with an enormous amount of irreplaceable data. Hard drive technology has progressed at a snail's pace in comparison with other devices and, although today's drives are infinitely better than their predecessors, they still can, and do, fail. The best advice is backups – our information leaflet covering backups can be downloaded via the link, below. You should backup because, one day, it will happen to you. We provide managed and unmanaged backup solutions for everyone from single users to multiple network users. Talk to us. We can help you sort out a solution that is safe, yet cost-effective, as we have already done for so many. In the event of disaster, however, all is not necessarily lost; recovery work is undertaken rather often, and we are very skilled in this area, with some of the best Data Recovery tools available.
We even repair circuit boards on hard drives where DIY enthusiasts or semi-skilled 'PC Technicians' have reversed the polarity (sadly, it happens). We can, in most cases, recover data from most hard drives. But as the damage increases, so does the intensity of the processes, and consequently the price. Recovery involves complex imaging of drives and often manual manipulation of data at binary level and drive sector by drive sector and, consequently, is a painstaking, slow and expensive process.

However, we undertake data recovery on a 'no data, no fee basis'. All costs are agreed before we start actual recovery, but after full diagnosis. Contact us for a quote. If you have simply formatted a hard drive accidentally a few times and run an erasing program you downloaded, we can still recover the data quite easily. If you dropped it and it doesn't work, or makes an odd noise...it's going to cost a little more….
Data Destruction Services
You can also have the drive physically destroyed (1500 Degrees Celcius leaves no drive behind) for an additional fee and, if you require video evidence, we are able to supply this (don’t laugh, some companies do).
Running a free program and formatting does not destroy data. Data destruction is a long process, and though not complicated, is very final: consequently, we will only destroy data with the written request of the drive owner. With professional drive destruction, you can guarantee there will be no ghostly credit card numbers sneaking back to haunt you. We recommend all end-of-life drives are securely wiped. Call us now.
Please note - drives from all computers taken back under the WEEE Regulations are securely wiped before disposal.
