Networking and Broadband

Most computers, even home computers, now belong to a network or at least have an internet connection. This situation is relatively new - when we first started, modems were the size of a caravan and only the very rich (or very obsessed) had one.  However, advances in technology mean that today almost all computers are connected in some way or another to the infamous World-Wide-Web. More complex networks have a series of switches and routers to distribute services from a server. We regularly handle voice and data networking for all common protocols, and are experts in long distance work, with a penchant for subterranean cabling, and long range point-to-point wireless. We have handled networks where others have simply run away, so you have no need to worry - we have great experience in odd or difficult network situations. Voice over IP Telephony is not as new as some would lead you to believe, however, now you can simply use a totally mobile, wireless handset to make calls via a network, through your VOIP Connection. It sounds a lot more complicated than it is. In practice, it means cheaper, or free, phone calls, worldwide. Audio quality has improved exponentially over the last 3 to 4 years and now, there is hardly any discernable difference between landline and VOIP in most cases. VOIP is even offered as standard by some ISPs.

We can give impartial advice on choosing a broadband supplier - advice based on experience rather than commission - and set up your connection at a very reasonable cost. If you so require, we can oversee your broadband from order to installation and commissioning. We have the best in ADSL and ADSL2 test equipment and are capable of line test and diagnostics, ensuring that you get the best connection possible. We are also expert at telephone cabling for broadband and installation and testing of telephone line extensions.
